Only one picture right now (though I have like a million sketches waiting to be uploaded, including a drawing of Ayato from RahXephon WTF), that I drew just now before I went to sleep. And couldn't wait. (Lol, I didn't want to upload any art until I got to move too. DAMNIT)

I'm thinking about moving my art journal to a community.
I hate having to log in and out, in and out of accounts, and while I would like to post art on my personal LJ, I realize that I post a lot and not a lot of people like that. So I don't want to have to bother people with having to fish through my X number of journal entries in order to see the art. It could be easily solved by making filters and things, so people who want art can get art, and filter my rambles so those who want to read them can. But I know that there are people not on LJ who read my journal entries, so filtering them would lock them out. D:
So I thought that an art community would be a good solution, but. I dunno, I don't feel like (in a way) I deserve a community all to myself. orz
So, uhm, I was wondering. Does anyone want to share an art community here on LJ with me? ._.;
RANDOM, I KNOW. But really, I'm wondering. ;;Dx

I went through some of my old folders o' arts and stuff, and decided to upload some old art.
Though all of my REALLY OLD stuff from my old devART, broken-numbers, is gone. I think I deleted it all. xD; Eh heh...Maybe one day I'll take that gallery out of storage and go through it all, but y'know.

Today was spent downstairs, in the kitchen, with an ink bottle and temporarily three trays of watercolors. SO EXCITING. Have another picture on the way, if I keep up my temporary motivation...

I might be taking a break from digital media? I'm not really sure. It's just gotten a little tedious lately, and I hadn't had the motivation to pick up my tablet or anything. So I've gone back to my roots with watercolors and ink (I'd link back to my old devART, but I put it all into storage, eh heh), and it was refreshing and more productive than I expected. So I guess it's something I needed to do.
Art is therapeutic!
Though now I gotta try to keep my cats from drinking my paint/ink water or playing with my ink bottles, again. Crap. |

Thursday by Asobi Seksu
- Ever listen to shoegaze? If not, this would definitely be a good starting point. Very dreamy and relaxing~ The female singer mixes Japanese and English lyrics together (though I think this song is in English). If anyone wants more shoegaze, I can upload more Asobi Seksu, and some Reverie Sound Revue. Just lemme know~
Glass Vase, Cello Case by Tattle Tale
- The song is really soft, so turn up your volume. If you've seen But I'm a Cheerleader, you'll recognize this song. If you haven't, well, here you go! It's very beautiful song, and that's all I gotta say about that.
Kissing Families by Silversun Pickups
- The lead singer sounds very much like (well, almost identical to) Kill Hannah's, but Silversun Pickups has somewhat of a softer sound. This and Dream at Tempo 119 are my favourite Silversun Pickups song, so. Yeah. Listen to it! ..Please?
Sunday by Bloc Party
- I LOVE Bloc Party's new CD, and this is one of my favourite songs on it. If you want more of their music, lemme know, and I'll do another music post with their songs. They also did a cover of Nelly Furtado's Say it Right. Haha.
Hell = Other People by Bettie Serveert
- Last, but not least, is the song I was gonna post originally, by itself. I don't like all of her music, from what I've heard so far (though it hasn't been a lot), but I do like this song. Especially since it's rather mood-appropriate for me right now. *Sucks like that* |

i'm thinking about moving to Blogspot. :\ 'Cause while i love LJ like a fat kid loves cake, it's a pain logging in and out of accounts constantly (it's one of the reasons why i don't update this journal until i have a bunch of art to post). i'd just post the art up on radiosoldier, but i know not everyone wants my constant ramblings in between art posts. So. Yeah. :\

~ On the mellow side of things, here's Owen (lulz Owen *shot*). Very mellow and calm, with soft instruments. At the very least, he might be less likely to put you to sleep than Death Cab/Postal Service is, which is always a plus! (He has slightly less mellow songs, but this is what i had been listening to at the time, so bah) |

In other news, i found a few more pieces of illustration board at my grandmas, and one big sheet of watercolor paper! Sweet. i've been wanting watercolor paper, too, so awesome. i also found my Final Fantasy IX artbook! *_________________* And my illustrated Stardust novel~ Gleeeeee~ It was my first Neil Gaiman book, and i got it around the time it was released.
Which was in 1998.
